3rd October 2011. Discover Scuba Diver.

Iain was in the pool with Grzegorz for a DSD and then down to Poris Pier for the open water dive. Great visibility here and perfect conditions for diving.

4th October 2011. New Dive Master intern.

Amarilla Divers would like to welcome Dannii to the family. Dannii is a local resident here in Tenerife and is wanting to complete her Dive Master course and possibly go on to her instructors course too.

Amarilla Diver has had 4 of this years Dive Masters turn instructor and this is something that we are very proud of. So we are now working with the next 4 interns, who also want to go instructor.

So we started in the pool with Dannii for a DSD and then went off to Poris Pier with Mary & Beth. Dannii had a few problems with her ears, but we are certain that she will be great.

Beth & Mary went for a nice dive along the reef and down to the Madonna.

So back to the water with Bethany. Mary was over the moon that Beth was back out here in the sun. Beth is the youngest sister of Mary and is a rescue diver, but has not been in the water for a while, so earlier in the week she completed a pool session and a dive at Poris Pier.

Today we went down to Playa Paraiso with Beth, Mary, Neil, Mick, Sue, Felipe & Pete to go down to the the Mushrooms and the canyons. A lovely dive and it was nice to dive with my Sister this week too.

8th October 2011. San Miguel Rays.

Pete is getting rather good with the camera so the boys all went down to the Sting Rays for some pictures. The rays were there to play and the visibility was good. This is a really nice dive for divers who have never seen sting rays.

10th October 2011. House Reef.

Marta & Adam joined us today for some dives on the house reef. This was a good day for the reef as Iain managed to find the illusive Grouper that hides out in the canyons. Marta & Adam had some good dives and some great visibility too.

Emergency First Response.

So on with Pete's training he went on to complete his EFR course with Neil. This course covers the Primary & Secondary care, CPR & First Aid. It is a great certification to have even for the non divers. We also are able to teach AED's and Emergency O2 Provider courses.

Stamina for DM's

Yes it was more stamina tests for the Dive Master interns, this time is was the 100 meter tow. Both Pete & David got great scores for this which adds to their final stamina score. Excellent job boys.
