February 2010 News at Amarilla Divers.

8th February 2010. Scuba Diver Course with David Kent.

Amarilla Divers would like to congratulate David on completing his PADI Scuba Diver Course.

You were a top student & it was a pleasure to teach you. I was very very impressed with your diving skills and you even managed to control your buoyancy very well during your pleasure dive.

With today's finds of Seahorses & octopus, you have been very lucky.

We hope to see you soon for your upgrade.

Have a nice time diving in the Philippines.

10th February 2010. Abades Anchor.

We decided to take a long dive out at Abades Outer Reef today. The dive lasted for 71 minutes and we had a maximum depth of 21 meters. On our travels, we managed to find the anchor that lays out in the sand. We also came across an adult Angel Shark sleeping in the sand, along with a stingray, also asleep in the sand.

Now we know where the anchor is, we hope to take some of our more experienced divers there.

15th February 2010. Las Eras.

After a trip up to Las Eras today we have stumbled upon a rather small nativity, hidden under the rocks. We also managed to find a sleeping Stingray and many octopus. There is so much life up there at present, that next week we intend to go for a night dive there.

17th February 2010. Tabaiba Wreck.

We made a trip up to Tabaiba today today have a look at the wreck after the storms at the beginning of February. The wreck is still intact although it has shifted quite a lot. The Stern has dropped about 4 meters to the sand and the whole boat has tilted more seaward than normal. This gives it a very eerie feel. There is still loads of fish surrounding the mast and we were greeted by two Tunas.

23rd February 2010. EFR with Connar.

Amarilla Divers would like to congratulate Connar on completing his EFR Primary & Secondary Care today. We particularly liked the way you looked after our Little Anne. You scored very highly in your exams with straight 100%. Well done Connar. We will now concentrate on your Dive Master, which will be completed soon.

Many thanks to all the divers, students and staff.

Amarilla Divers.
