1st July 2010. DSDs with Stuart & Susan.

We was joined by Stuart and Susan for a spot of diving today. Both were novices but managed very well in the pool. The skills were mastered successfully by both of you. Well done guys.

3rd July 2010. Open Water with Adriana & Daniel.

It does give Amarilla Divers great pleasure to congratulate Daniel & especially Adriana for completing their Open Water Course with us.

After a very slow start and lots practice and patience, we managed to work through the initial problems and come out smiling.

Well done guys we are very very proud of both your achievements and look forward to seeing you again.

Amarilla Divers had a week off to go back to the UK.

As soon as we returned though, we went straight back to work with Mike, Dave, Kate, Victoria, Billy, Jurgen, Jonny, Mary & Neil.

14th July 2010. Diving with Jurgen.

After a nice break in the UK, our Dive Master Jonny took Jurgen & Dave out for a nice dive at Abades. Jurgen obviously had fun because he then joined us for some boat diving.

14th July 2010. Confined water skills with Mike.

Mike joined us for his Open Water course. He is an ex-commercial diver from many years back who has now decided to re-take up his diving.

You was great in the pool and we look forward to your first open water dive on Thursday afternoon.

15th July 2010. Scuba Reviews & Diving with Kate, Vikki & Neil.

We had the girls in today. Starting with a Scuba Review in the pool and then a dive at Abades. You were brilliant with your skills and your dive at Abades was excellent. Billy was taking videos and our Neil with the camera.

15th July 2010. DSD with Yomi & Ope & Mary

We went to pool with Yomi and Ope for their Discover Scuba Diving course. After a few hiccups, we managed to successfully complete the skills and then went off to Abades.

Ope had a few problems with her ears, but Yomi managed to complete the dive. You were great Yomi.

It was a pleasure to meet you both and we now know the competition has started. Keep us informed of the results... :)

15th July 2010. El Puertito

we had a fantastic dive at El Puertito and had 5 turtles come to play. Kate & Vikki looked a bit weary at first, but still managed to relax and have some play time with the Turtles.

We was rather upset though to find that many people have been feeding the turtles with lots of fish!.

16th July 2010. Boat diving.

We had a full days boat diving with Vikki, Kate. Billy, Dave, Jurgen, Mary and Neil. First dive was Roncadores Del Faro and the second at Los Chuchos.

Both were excellent dives and the visibility was great. Lots of life on both dives which was fab. The rays at Los Chuchos were rather large today and very excited to see us. Mary even had one on her back.

17th July 2010. Open Water dives with Mike.

We had 2 nice dives at Black Cove with Mike and Dave. These dives went smoothly and Mike has proven to be very confident and capable in the water. Well done Mike.

17th July 2010. DSD in pool with Keith.

Keith came for his DSD and we managed to get the skills done in the pool in record time. Keith you did so well in the pool and we know you will back, although you had a few problems with your ears at sea. We hope to see you soon

18th July 2010. Diving at Marazul, Open Water Course.

Today we dived at Marazul for Open Water 4 for Mike, plus we had Billy, Dave, Paolo, Pietro, Mary & Neil. The water was warn the visibility was excellent and all divers did a great job.

Congratulations Mike on completing your Open Water Course with Amarilla Divers.

19th July 2010. 2 dives at Marazul.

We had such a great dive yesterday at Marazul that we decided to take another couple of dives there today.

This time we went down to the swim through at 27 meters with Dave, Jonny, Billy and Neil. We managed to catch sight of a sting ray and a large group of barracuda.

21st July 2010. Alcala.

we was joined by our friend Paolo again for some diving at Alcala. Also on this dive was Dave, Mike, Billy and Neil.

Mike was taking in some pleasure diving before starting his Advanced course at the weekend.

23rd july 2010. Diving at San Miguel

We had a nice morning dive at San Miguel with Billy, Dave, Mike, Tony & Neil. We caught sight of the submarine and also found a couple of illusive groupers who were very camera shy, we has some sting rays and lots of other fish life.

We look forward to doing more dives with you Tony. Welcome back to diving... :)

23rd July 2010. DSDs.

We spent the afternoon doing some Discover Scuba Diving with Saman, Soodeh and Sassan. You all did very well in the pool and managed to complete your skills confidently.

Saman & Soodeh went to open water to play with an Octopus and had a few pictures taken as well.

Well done you guys. Next year remember Mum said she would have a go... :)

23rd July 2010. Confined Water with Nadine.

We had a morning in the pool with Nadine doing her confined water training.

We are now ready to go to Open Water. We are looking forward to taking you out to see some fish :)

24th July 2010. Shore Diving at Jonny's Point & San Miguel.

Our first dive of the day was at Jonny's Point to start off Mike's Advanced Open Water course. The Navigation was good and we were also joined by Tony and Billy.

The second dive at San Miguel where we managed to get a photo of the illusive grouper. yay.

25th July 2010. Boat diving at El Condesito & Los Chuchos.

As part of Mikes Advanced Open Water course, we took a boat dive and a wreck dive. the wreck dive was at El Condesito and there was lots of life to see. we also had along for the ride Billy, Antonio, Paolo, Philippe, Mary and Neil.

We took our second dive at Los Chuchos where again we was greeted by the large rough tail rays and many common rays as well. we also found a rather large ball of Roncadores.

26th July 2010. Playa Paraiso & El Puertito.

Mike finished off his Advanced course at Playa Paraiso with a photography dive. Some of the pictures he took even had fish in them !! :) There was a few octopi out to play which was nice to see.

He was joined by Dive Master Jonny & Antonio.

The second dive was just a nice pleasure dive for everyone and for this we went to El Puertito. The turtles were a little hard to find at first, but we managed to find them in the end.

27th July 2010. DSDs.

Amarilla Divers would like to send congratulations to Brendan, Conor & Cian for successfully completing your DSD with Mary. You all did a brilliant job in the pool with your skills.

27th July 2010. Diving with Juan Antonio.

With a nice dive at the house reef in the morning followed by the turtles in the afternoon, we had a nice days diving. Juan Antonio thought the turtles were 'que bonitas'.

We were also joined at the turtles by our younger divers Nadine & Melinda. Melinda found her way back to the water but now needs some new equipment!!! she has grown a lot since January!. Never mind Melinda just eat less pies.

28th July 2010. Diving Yellow mountain with Joao, Jonny & Mike.

Amarilla Divers has not dived at Yellow mountain for a few months now, so decided to go have a look. We was very pleased as they have now finished off the steps and have added another ladder for entry & exit, plus the car park is being re-vamped as well. It all looks great.

The visibility was excellent today and we had a nice dive with Jonny, Mike & Jonny.

28th July 2010. San Miguel reef.

Neil & Jonny took a nice pleasure dive along the reef down to 27 meters and whilst there they came across the grouper again, who seems to have made this reef his home. They also saw a few stingrays and then came across a HUGE sting ray that was twice the size of the normal Rough Tail rays. Great dive

29th July 2010. DSD with Alois.

Alois joined us for s DSD today. He had already done his Bubble maker before, so was not so much of a stranger in the water. He managed the skills perfectly in the pool and then went out to sea with his Dad.

It was lovely to have both of you with us and we know that Alois will be doing more diving soon.

29th July 2010. Tabaiba with Juan Antonio.

We travelled up to Tabaiba with Juan Antonio. The visibility was fantastic today and wee managed to see lots of fish life. Juan Antonio was over the moon with the dive and said he really enjoyed himself.

It was lovely to dive with you Juan Antonio and maybe you can come back next year.

30th July 2010. El Puertito with Joao & Jack.

We had a little play with the turtles today and we was graced with 5 of our resident turtles. Joao had lots of fun and actually did this dive in his shortie...brrrrrr.

Jack was on his DSD with Mary and managed to find 2 sting rays as well as the turtles. Well done Jack, you were very good and we hope you will continue to read your book.

31st July 2010. DSD & Scuba Review.

Dave came in for a scuba review after a break from his diving. It was a very good morning and Dave took to the water like a fish...

He also brought his FRIEND along with him, Colin, who was doing his DSD. Colin mastered the skills very well and even asked to do them again!. Well done Colin.
