2nd June 2010. 2 new Dive sites.

A little dickie bird popped in to our dive center and whispered a few words about a couple of dive sites that we had yet to see.

So in true fashion, Neil and Jonny went to investigate.

What they found, was a site with some caverns and swim through's, some Canarian lobsters, sting rays, tiger morays and much more.

The other site is like an obstacle course made with lots of tunnels and swim through's. They found a nice ball of Roncadores, some barracuda and lots of little nooks.

We will definitely be going back here.

3rd June. Snorkel Safari with Sophie.

After the big foot episode on Monday, we took Sophie snorkeling with some different type of fins! This seemed to do the trick and Sophie had a nice swim with Neil.

Sophie enjoyed the fish and was happy that she had the chance to see so many.

She was also happy to come back and try and get a peek at Jack!.. but sadly he was at school.... Never mind Sophie next time. :)

4th June 2010. Diving with Lucas & David.

Well today was rather a nice dive. we travelled up to Abades with Lucas & David from Madrid.

A nice long dive with a few unexpected sightings. Whilst swimming along the inner reef we managed to spot an elusive Butterfly ray. So graceful are these animals, they look light they are flying through the water.

Of course Mary was very upset, as she has yet to see a butterfly ray and spent the day in the dive center. Never mind Mary there is always next time!

5th June 2010. DSD with Tessa & Arnet.

After a try dive in one of our pools on Thursday afternoon, Arnet & Tessa decided to take it a step further and do our Discover Scuba Diving course.

A session in the pool with Neil practicing some skills and then a dive at Abades, where they spotted the trigger fish and a sting ray.

After the dive there was lots of smiles & Arnet thought is was 'Alright', which I am reliably informed means he enjoyed himself.

9th June 2010. Diving with Mike.

Amarilla Divers would like to thank Mike for joining us this week for a spot of diving.

You thought you might get away with a dive free holiday. but bought your logbook just in case. Good thing too.... with 6 more dives logged, you are near to your 150th dive.

With dives at Abades and Playa San Juan, we have enjoyed your company and stories.

We hope to see you again when you return to Tenerife.

10th June 2010. Diving with Rick.

Amarilla Divers would like to welcome Rick to the world of diving. After just certifying in the UK 3 weeks back, Rick found time to come and do 4 dives with us. He was over the moon to be playing with 4 of our resident Turtles at El Puertito, as well as completing a deep adventure dive at Playa Paraiso.

We hope you have a great tine diving in Egypt in November and we know you will be back to Tenerife again soon.

10th June. Open Water course with Sam & Gareth.

Amarilla Divers would like to send huge congratulations to Sam & Gareth for successfully completing their Open Water course with us.

You both have done a super job and should be very proud of your achievement.

You also had some of the best dives that Tenerife has to offer with a mixture of Eagle ray, angel shark, octopus, turtles and the ever elusive sea horse.

We look forward to seeing you again for some pleasure diving.

13th June 2010. Pleasure dive with Paolo & Pierto

Well we all had a day off....heehee sort of a bus mans holiday. We had a picnic on the beach at Abades and managed to squezze in a couple of dives with Paolo & Pietro. It was a lovely day, the sun was out, the sea was so clear and we had some nice life on the outer reef, sting rays, barracuda, breams and much more.

15th June 2010. Pleasure dives with Sam & Gareth

Sam & Gareth obviously got the bug for diving. They were back for a nice pleasure dive at Abades beach. It was such a lovely morning and we are glad youc ame back. We know you will back for some diving and some sun !. See you soon.

19th June 2010. DSDs with Sebastian, Martyna & Michal.

We had the guys in for a DSD. The pool session went very well and we was very impressed with your skills.

The open water dive at Abades Beach was fantatsic. The visibilty was great and you all managed to keep your bouyancy very well. Fun was had by everyone and we may even see some of you sooner than we think!

Well done guys.

20th June 2010. Diving with Garry at Black Cove Moon Pools.

Well well Garry. It was a pleasure to meet you and take you down to Black Cove Moon Pools. We are so glad you enjoyed it and after telling us "it was the best dive" that made our day.

Now that you are a part-time resident lol we will b e seeing much more of you we are sure.

21st June 2010. DSD with Rob.

Well Rob, after doing many many DSDs round the world, it is definitely time you decided to take the Open Water course !. Your skills in the pool were done like a PRO. Your smile when you came back was what we like to see.

I am sure we will see you for some more diving, if not for some more abuse heehee...

21st June 2010. DSD with Adrian.

Adrian joined us for a Discover Scuba Diver after his friends had said he was too OLD!!!! well we proved them wrong. Adrian you were brilliant in the water. You did make us laugh though when you said you had really enjoyed yourself and couldn't stop smiling and you had only been in the pool ! heehee.

When we went to sea it was fab. The smile on your face when you got back was excellent.

After telling us that you may even come back to work up to Dive Master, well we look forward to it. :)

22nd June 2010. DSD with Jo & diving with Stuart.

After a session in the pool with Jo to do her skills for her Discover Scuba Diver, we then travelled up north to Tabaiba for Stuarts first dive. Being an Advanced Open Water diver, he really enjoyed going down to the wreck at 30 meters. Jo took in some sunbathing at the surface...

Then we went down to Abades for the second dive of the day. Here Jo took her first breath in the sea.

When they came back they were both smiling lots. well done guys.

24th June 2010. Open Water with Martyna & Michal.

After completing their Discover Scuba Diver earlier in the week, Martyna & Michal decided to take on the Open Water course. They were brilliant and very good in the water.

They completed their quizzes & exams in English, which was excellent, although they were very worried, they managed great scores.

It was really very nice to meet you bothe and we hope that we will see you again soon. We will go see the turtles this time.

25th June 2010. Pool work with Paolo, Pietro & Lisa.

Today we had Paolo in the pool with his wife Lisa. She has finally decided to have a go at diving and was starting with a DSD in the pool.

Pietro joined in for some skill practise as well.

It was lovely to see you all and we look forward to diving again soon.

26th June 2010. Open Water with Dave & Diving with Helen

This week we had a great time with Dave and Helen.

Helen is already qualified as a diver and was hoping that Dave would have a go. So they came in asking for a Discover Scuba Diver course for Dave, but actually finished with Dave completing his PADI Open Water Course with flying colours.

At the young age of 64, Dave is already a private pilot and does kayaking and much more, so diving was just next on the list.

Thank you for chosing us to do your course with Dave, it was a delight to meet you and Helen.

26th June 2010. Try Dives with Ieva & Tomas.

We had a morning of Try dives with Ieva & Tomas. Ieva decided that diving was not for her, but Tomas is already looking forward to his next dive.

Well done to both of you.

28th June 2010. DSD with Diego & Diana.

We went down to the house reef today with Diego & Diana and our Dive Master Jonny.

Diana was excellent in the pool and managed her skills with perfection, but had a problem equalizing in the sea. Diana will be back though as she enhjoyed herself so much.

Diego managed to complete the sea dive as well and is now talking about taking the Open Water course.

Enhorabuena. :)
