November's News at Amarilla Divers.
2nd November 2009. Night Dive yellow Mountain.
Our weekly night dive took us to Yellow Mountain this week. We had a great dive and we saw Angel Shark, Tiger Moray, Octopus, Cuttle fish and much more.

8th November 2009. Night dive Abades.
Well this week our weekly night dive was a day early. So on Sunday night we went up to Abades with 'crazy Belgian' Pierre. There was quite a bit of wind but we still managed to get in and out with out any problems. Pierre was having fun even before he entered the water...filling out the medical form where the first questions asks 'Are you Pregnant' heehee.
The dive was around 1 hour long and there was plenty to see, Moray eels, cuttle fish, different types of Sea Hares and many more.
We had an 'Incredible' time.
thanks Pierre.

12th November 2009. New dive site. Jonny's point.
Well we have been looking for new dives site for our regular divers, we have found a few but our latest find is fabulous. With swim throughs, caves, over hangs and lots of life we are feeling very luck to find such variety at one site.
We will be getting more photos over the coming weeks and will be taking our regular divers out for a treat.

15th November 2009. Alien rocks & swim through at Yellow Mountain.
Early this morning we went down to Yellow Mountain for a dive. The water was so clear and the sea was calm. We went round the Alien rocks & went back through the swim through, followed the reef back to shore. As we were navigating around the alien rocks we had a surprise find.....we found a 'Stargazer' buried in the sand. These fish are very difficult to find as they camouflage themselves in the sand. They are very poisonous and will also cause an electric shock if touched.
We are very happy with our find today, it topped off an excellent dive.

18th November 2009. Dive Master Jonathan Kent
We would like to send our HUGE congratulations to Jonny Kent for successfully completing his PADI Dive Master course with Amarilla Divers instructors Neil & Mary.

All dives went fantastically well and fun was had by all of us.
Well done Morten and congratulations on successfully completing you Advanced course. We hope to see you next year for some more diving and feeding the Stingrays.

19th November 2009. DSD with Nikki Fyfe.
Well done to Nikki for completing your DSD.
After a bit of talking to herself!! she eventually went into the underwater world at Abades. She was so excited that afterwards she wanted to go straight back in, but we managed to calm her down and convinced her that next week would be soon enough...
Well done Nikki I am so very proud of you for taking the plunge and it must be miles better than Knitting!!!!
I can't wait to do your Open Water course in January.
Well done you..x

25th November 2009. NEW Dive Site. Punta Azul.
Today we decided to have a look at a site that we have been wanting to go to for a few months.
With a giant stride entry into a cove that descends to around 4 meters, where there are a few over hangs and lots of fish, we make our way to the edge of the cove. Here we were greetd by 2 huge Atlantic Rays that had a swim round us, checking us out, then swam on their merry way. Carrying on along the reef we found some octopus, cuttlefish, trumpet fish, arrow crabs and many more fish.
We couldn't believe our luck when just across the sand we spotted an adult Angel Shark. This is the first shark of the season for Amarilla Divers & we now hope for many more during the next few months.
This site is excellent and we will be taking some of our more experienced divers down there soon.

Many thanks to all the divers, students and staff.
