October's News at Amarilla Divers.
1st October 2009. Palm Mar Cave.
Well what a fantastic start to the month. Palm Mar Cave, 32 meters to see the Madonna, the Cave and the cross. The wall was full of Moray Eels wanting to be fed. They come right out of the wall and start swimming around freely. There was also sting rays inside the cave, one was sleeping outside the cave and a few octopui around. We also had dolphins swimming nea by. Everyone really enjoyed their dive. Excellent.

9th October 2009. AOW courses.
What a fantastic week we have had with our AOW's. We have seen loads of life including HUGE barracuda, sting rays, trumpet fish, BIG breams, octopus, Greenback Turtles PLUS the Loggerhead Turtle was back at Playa Paraiso.
Some of the sites we visited this week have been Poris, Abades, El Puertito, The rays and many more.
We would also like to extend our HUGE congratulations to our oldest student this week Gwen who just completed her AOW course at the grand age of 63. Well done Gwen can't wait to see you again, it has been an absolute pleasure diving with you.

10th October 2009. El Puertito with Robin.
Well done to Robin for taking his first qualified dive as a certified OW diver. What a great dive it was too. 4 Turtles swimming round with you, big barracudas, loads of cuttle fish and a video to go with it.

12th October 2009. Peak Performance Buoyancy Speciality.
Well done Dave on completing your Peak Performance Buoyancy course yesterday. You managed to get through all the hoops in one piece. Now we just need to put into practice over the next few weeks. Well done you .

12th October 2009. Night dive Tabaiba.
Well well, our divers sure are getting into the swing of things,with another trip up north to the wreck dive at Tabaiba. Again they were greeted by the thousands of shrimp that cover the small reef, aswell as octopus, tuna and much more.
Next weeks night dive in monday night, dive site TBA.

13th October 2009. marazul
Today we have been diving at Marazul. The first dive lead us into the swim through at 28 meters where we managed to spot a few trumpet fish at the entrance. We also had an octopus and many zebra breams.
The second dive went through the 'A frame rocks' where on our travels we met a few more trumpet fish, some breams, large parrot fish and lots of wrasse.

14th October 2009. Palm Mar Cave.
Today we had a lovely dive out to Palm mar cave with our 2 DM's, our rescue diver trainee and our videographer. The Morays were there to greet us and have a play, as was the Trigger fish who was after some food. We had a look inside the cave that sits at 28 meters....then made a nice swim round the reef.
This is a fabulous site to dive and always has loads of life to see.
14th October 2009. Moon Pool At Black Cove.
Our second dive today was at the Moon pool at Black Cove. This was stunning yesterday as the visibilty was outstanding. We made our entry through the Moon pool & done the drift dive into the cove where we nade our exit out onto the beach. The octopus there took a liking to the new video camera and started climbing all over it...A good time had by all.

15th October 2009. DSD in Pool with Nikki.
Well done Nikki for completing your DSD in the pool today. After you finished your skills you thoroughly enjoyed your swim round the pool. Can't wait to get in to the sea next week.

16th October 2009. DSD's El Puertito.
Amarilla Divers would like to congratulate Keith & Richard for successfully completing their DSD's at El Puertito. You both managed to concentrate on your skills while the Turtle tried to join in. We was then followed by 2 turtles who loved playing in the bubbles. We were also very very fortunate to see the smallest of the family who came to say 'HI' briefly. Next time guys we will do the Open water course.
Also like to thank the videographer from 'Shut Up and Dive Tenerife' for capturing it all.

20th October 2009. Rescue Diver course.
After 2 weeks of diving at a range of different sites, plus a PPB speciality course we would like to congratulate you Dave on completing your PADI Rescue diver course. You have come so far Dave we are very proud of you and it is always a pleasure training you.
We so hope to see you soon and look forward to many years ahead of diving with you.

21st October 2009. Advanced Open Water Course.
After an absolutely fantastic week of diving, we would like to congratulate Chris on successfully completing your AOW course. You finished in style with some Moray eels, trigger fish, breams and loads of Sting rays.
It has been an absolutely pleasure to train you and has been an even more pleasure to meet you and your wife Kristen.
We hope very much that you have enjoyed your week with us and hope to see you again for some more excitment.

29th October 2009. DSD & Scuba Review with Lesley & Larry.
WOW.......Today we had a diver return to the water after a break of 20 YEARS...yes thats 20 YEARS.....Larry welcome back to the wonderful world of scuba. We were very impressed with your skills & pleased that you enjoyed yourself. I know now that you passion for all things scuba has returned. Also the dive was made extra special as we had Lesley along for the ride aswell. I think you chased every fish that you saw....and I still can't hear you underwater lol.
well done the both of you and we look forward to many dives to come

30th October 2009. DSD's with the Seabrooks.
Today we had the Seabrook family doing their first every dive with us at Abades. Cliff, Nicky & Alex. You all done so well guys and we are glad you enjoyed yourself. Nicky even fancied finding some treasure, but I went down and got the shell for her. Thanks guys for a great days diving and we hope to see you again soon.
